Massage Therapist & Registered Yoga Instructor
Michelle Dunn first discovered her passion for the healing arts through her yoga practice. While living in Miami she found that yoga was a great tool that not only helped with her body aches but also helped calm her mind and spirit. There she realized the amazing ability the body has to heal its self. Her passion for yoga inspired her to continue her growth by enrolling in a yoga teacher training so that she could help others discover their own body’s healing potential. After several months of teaching in South Beach, she found that her favorite part of teaching yoga was the restorative aspect, gentle adjustments, and ending classes with light massages for her students. This sparked her desire to continue her education of the human body and to deepen her understanding of the musculoskeletal system.
After doing extensive research, she found that Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego best aligned with her philosophy of health and wellness. After being accepted to PCOM, Michelle made the move to San Diego. She graduated from the Massage Program where she learned Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Circulatory & Relaxation massage techniques. With Pacific College of Oriental Medicine taking more of an Eastern approach to the healing arts; an interest to study Chinese medicine developed within her. She became fascinated with the Eastern approach to healthcare and decided to apply to the Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine. She is currently enrolled and loves to integrate different aspects of Chinese medicine that she continues to learn into her massage practice, such as cupping, gua sha, and acupressure.
Michelle is enthusiastic about holistic healing and incorporating her multi-disciplinary approach to helping her patients find harmony and balance within their body.
