Chiropractor
Dr. Christina Pekar is a graduate of National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL. Dr. Christina attended Lake Forest College where she majored in Biology. While at Lake Forest College, Christina was a four time All-American springboard diver. Growing up in athletics is what sparked Christina’s interest in health and fitness and eventually turned into a passion for helping others.
She is interested in improving patient’s overall health through the use of many modalities such as sports rehabilitation and mobility training, pre-natal care, Graston/GuaSha, Rocktape and kinesiotaping, cupping, soft tissue massage, and different chiropractic techniques such as diversified, drop table, and activator technique. She is certified in Rocktape FMT Basic and has attended multiple courses in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization approach from the Prague School of Rehabilitation Medicine. Dr. Christina believes in the power of understanding the body as a whole to return patients to a full quality of life.
Although relocating from Chicago to New York and now San Diego, Christina has retained her love of Chicago Sports. She enjoys being active herself and exercises on a regular basis. When she is not treating patients, she loves to cook, play guitar and is an avid dog lover.
