Yoga Therapy
Over four years ago, a few of our passionate practitioners at the Wellness Lounge came together and developed their own style of restorative yoga, blending it with hands-on massage therapy, chiropractic techniques, meditation, mind-body medicine, acupuncture, and so much more to create Yoga Therapy. The class was offered throughout the San Diego Community, at various studios, to encourage a wide-spread, larger sense and understanding of holistic health and wellness. Once the door of opportunity opened, and the Wellness Lounge expanded in 2014, our style of Yoga Therapy was brought home, and we began offering it at our studio, the Yoga Lounge.
Each time you step into the studio to experience our version of Yoga Therapy, you will leave with a hopeful sense of peace, a synergistic bond between your mind and body, and relaxation to your very core. Whether you are trying to overcome obstacles, need to relieve stress, or simply just want to take a pause in life, any version of the Wellness & Yoga Lounge's Yoga Therapy classes will suffice. Our studio offers several different styles of Yoga Therapy tailored to the expertise and passion of the teacher/practitioner.
Acu-Yoga Therapy: Acu-Yoga is a 75 minute, all-levels, gentle hath class that aims to use the ancient philosophies of Chinese medicine and yoga to create a deeply healing experience for today's yogi. It begins with a 50 minute yoga flow, often themed in accordance with what is happening in the natural world and our body's natural response. Class continues with an extended savasana, during which, participants have the option to receive hands on massage and/or acupuncture. The massage is meant to relieve stress, aches and reinforce the theme of the class. The acupuncture points work to calm the active mind and offer a deep relaxation for a savasana experience like never before!
Yoga Therapy - Yoga, Massage & Meditation: A 75 minute class that blends restorative yoga, massage and guided meditation, focusing on total body health, and wellness for the mind, body, spirit and soul.
Yoga Therapy - Massage & Yoga: A 75 minute restorative yoga class with massage techniques blended throughout the class.
Chiro-Yoga Therapy: Taught by one of our chiropractic doctors, Chiro-Yoga Therapy blends chiropractic techniques and massage into a 75 minute restorative yoga class. This class educates the student on chiropractic philosophy of healing the body from within and innate intelligence, great for injury rehabilitation and focuses on healing the spine.
