Kara Chartier

kara_chartier_1After completing a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Wellness Management and Psychology from the University of New York, Oswego, Kara attended Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) where she completed two programs, earning a Massage Therapy certification and her Master’s Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine.

Kara completed internships at the PCOM Clinic, the Senior Clinic at First Lutheran Church and the Hematology/Oncology and Chronic Pain Departments at Rady Children's Hospital - San Diego. While at PCOM, she received advanced training in dermatology and cosmetic acupuncture.

With her knowledge of anatomy and massage, acupuncture and Chinese herbology, Kara is passionate about educating her patients on how to be involved in their healing process and empowers them on their journey toward optimal health and wellness.

She takes great pleasure in letting her creative side flourish within the context of her career. She has created her own line of healing liniments and poultices, grows herbs with great passion and has helped to develop several new classes such as Wellness Yoga Therapy in an effort to share her passions and offer a means of healing to the community at large. Dr. Jackie Adamcewicz

Jackie is a native New Yorker who graduated from the University of Miami in 2007 with a Bachelor of Business Administration.  She spent several years working in the snowboard industry during winters and the water sports industry during the summers.  After coming to San Diego in 2015 to obtain her yoga teacher certification she embarked on a journey into the wellness field.  In 2020 Jackie earned her Master of Science and Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science (PCHS, formerly PCOM).

Jackie completed internships at the PCHS clinic and the specialty clinic for Veterans, active-duty military, and their family members.  She electively studied Japanese style Acupuncture based on the teachings of Kiiko Matsumoto.  She now specializes in mental health, women’s health, acute and chronic pain management, digestive health, cupping therapy, oriental massage, and herbal medicine. Jackie has also been trained in cosmetic acupuncture.

Jackie is committed to her patients and believes strongly that the relationship between patient and practitioner requires an effort on both parts.  She is passionate about empowering her clients to be involved in the process of achieving their optimal wellness goals through self-awareness and self-care practices.  She believes that acupuncture can be an extremely effective treatment on its own, but she sees the future of healthcare progressing to a state of integration of Eastern and conventional Western medicine.

Dr. Lynsi Lewis

After receiving her Bachelor of Science from Troy University in Alabama, Lynsi completed years of training at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine before she moved to San Diego to continue her education at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM), earning her Master of Science and Doctorate in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.

Lynsi completed her internships at the PCOM clinic, Cancer Center of Encinitas, HIV/AIDS Clinic of UCSD Hospital, and the Integrative Wellness Center located in downtown. While at PCOM, she received advanced training in cosmetic acupuncture and electively studied the Japanese style of acupuncture. She now specializes in mental health, orthopedics, women’s health, chronic pain, cupping therapy, oriental massage, herbal medicine, and nutritional counseling.

Her desire is to merge both Eastern and Western medical worlds in order to bring about the highest potential of health for the public. She believes in the future of integrative medicine and has committed her career to building bridges between all healing modalities. She is passionate about empowering her patients with education on self-care practices and disease prevention. She also values evidence-based medicine and strives to research new studies on a case-to-case basis. She has led workshops on “The Science Behind Acupuncture” and enjoys collaborating with primary care providers and other allopathic physicians.

Lynsi is a life-long learner who is dedicated to acquiring new skills and continuously developing improved approaches to healthcare. She views the practitioner-patient relationship as sacred and understands that each learns from one another. Her commitment as a healer extends into her entire community where she volunteers her time and services to better the environment and bring awareness through activism in human and animal rights. Come see Lynsi for an appointment at our Mission Bay location today!
